Executive Banqueting Chef Daalder Culinair

During the summer, you will focus on managing the kitchen team of Daalder*’s terrace on Postjesweg. The al fresco street food menu is created by Michelin chef Dennis Huwaë, who will check in regularly with you. As executive banqueting chef, you also represent Daalder Culinair when we cater high-end events at unique locations throughout Amsterdam. You will turn our star-level dishes into menus that make an event unforgettable. And you never want to compromise on quality. Menu after menu. Event after event. Every day will be totally different from the last. And that is exactly what lights your fire.

In this role, you lead your own team. You take care of purchasing and maintaining an overview of the various events while cooking high-quality dishes. You switch seamlessly between tasks while ensuring everything gets done correctly – whatever the task may be. As an executive banqueting chef, you prepare fine-dining dishes for small private gatherings as well as high-scale parties while working closely with your team and our head chef.


  • You have completed a culinary degree and have relevant work experience in a similar (managing) role;
  • You believe in leading by example;
  • You have got excellent organising skills, a positive attitude and good sense of humour;
  • You are a strong communicator and – obviously – a real team player;
  • You are flexible in working hours (evenings, weekends, holidays);
  • You have knowledge of HACCP regulations.


  • A full-time position (40 hours per week);
